Service Improvement Grants 2016

Grampians Integrated Cancer Service (GICS) is pleased to announce the recipients of the GICS Cancer Conversations Service Improvement Grants 2016. These grants were a new initiative designed to find champions within Grampians health services to improve cancer services delivered to people affected by cancer.

The grants fund projects that will improve cancer services for people in the Grampians region, in particular, in one or more of the following areas:
  • support and assistance for consumers
  • communication and information sharing
  • facilities, including transport, parking and accommodation

A key feature of the grants program is its ongoing focus on consumer engagement.

  • The community had the opportunity to vote online for their favorite project (647 votes were cast)
  • 5 of the 9 members on the evaluation panel were consumers
  • Key evaluation criteria focused on how the project would use the consumer voice in the design, implementation and/or evaluation of the project

All projects will be completed by June 30 2017

$100,000 in total has been granted across the nine projects

Congratulations to all nine projects awarded a grant:
